Precision Mechatronics Laboratory

The Precision Mechatronics Laboratory at KAIST conducts research to develop novel & useful mechatronic systems via precise integration of mechanical design, electromechanics, controls, and electronics.

We are enthusiastic about the approach of design for control. That is, instead of designing a mechatronic system sequentially from the hardware to control, we design the feedback system as a whole with consideration of control from the beginning. This approach enables us to create innovative mechatronic solutions with improved performance.

Our research on precision mechatronics explores creative breakthroughs in various industrial applications, such as future mobility, energy conversion, biomedical devices, and advanced manufacturing systems.
